A video capturing a luxury Audi car, owned by Sanket Bawankule, the son of Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, ramming several vehicles on a busy Nagpur road has surfaced online. The 14-second footage shows the Audi speeding through a crossing, hitting a car and a bike before causing further damage to other vehicles.
The incident, which took place around 1 am near Centre Point Hotel, has led to the arrest of two individuals. Sanket Bawankule, who was reportedly in the car along with four others, managed to escape the scene along with two other occupants, while the driver and another passenger were detained by the Maharashtra Police.

According to local sources, the group was returning from a beer bar, and blood samples of the arrested individuals have been sent for testing. Two people riding the bike were injured in the collision, and occupants of another vehicle, which had been hit, chased the Audi and successfully stopped it near the Mankapur bridge.
Inspector Anamika Mirjhapure from the Sitabuldi Police Station confirmed the arrests, identifying the two accused as Arjun Hawre and Ronit Chittamwar. “The incident occurred in front of Centre Point Hotel. A car had fled after hitting two other cars and a bike. A case has been registered, and two accused have been arrested,” she stated.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule has admitted that the Audi involved in the crash is registered in his son’s name. In a statement, he called for an impartial investigation, insisting that the law should be applied equally. “The law must be equal for all,” he said, emphasizing that appropriate action should be taken if those involved are found guilty.
The crash has drawn significant attention, with many awaiting the results of the investigation to determine the full extent of the involvement of Sanket Bawankule and others.
