Delhi CM made an atrocious claim that his government had already “ensured 12 lakh jobs for the city’s youth, out of this 1.8 lakh jobs were created in the Government sector, said Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar.

New Delhi: Delhi Congress on Sunday said that despite the Delhi budget swelling from Rs 31,000 crore in 2015 to Rs 76,000 crore in 2022, presented by Finance Minister Manish Sisodia in the assembly, neither the Capital’s infrastructure could be improved, nor any improvement could be made in the lives of the people, but Chief Minister Arvind continues to self-congratulate for this “miracle”.
The party said that the “Rozgar Budget” has promised to create 20 lakh new jobs in five years though CM’s assurance of creating 8 lakh jobs eight years ago has not yet been fulfilled.
Delhi Congress president Anil Kumar said that the Delhi CM made an atrocious claim that his government had already “ensured 12 lakh jobs for the city’s youth, out of this 1.8 lakh jobs were created in the Government sector”.
He said that this was a blatant lie as according to RTI information, only 400 odd jobs were created in the past 8 years, while 22,000 guest teachers and over one lakh contractual workers in various Delhi Government departments still wait for regularisation of their jobs.
“Over 20,000 Anganwadi workers and helpers have been agitating for the past many months demanding pay hike and stipulated minimum wages, but the Arvind Kejriwal government has only harassed and tormented them without conceding their demands,” added the Delhi Congress president.
