A private university in Haryana’s Faridabad — already under scrutiny for its alleged links to suspects in the Delhi blast — has now come under deeper investigation after revelations that one of its professors was earlier dismissed by the Jammu and Kashmir administration for terror links.
According to documents, accessed by the NDTV, Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan, a professor in the Department of Medicine at Al-Falah University, had been dismissed by the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in 2023 under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution — a clause that allows the government to terminate public servants without inquiry in cases involving state security.
Before his dismissal, Dr. Nisar was serving as an Assistant Professor at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar. The termination order stated that the Lieutenant Governor was “satisfied that the activities of Dr. Nisar-Ul-Hassan are such as to warrant his dismissal from service.” The report also said Dr. Nisar was terminated for his role in terrorist activities.
Hired by Al-Falah University After Dismissal
Despite his dismissal, Dr. Nisar was later recruited by Al-Falah University, Faridabad, and listed as a professor in the Department of Medicine.
The university, established in 2014, has publicly denied any links to terror groups and stated it has no knowledge of the background of individuals hired through standard academic procedures. Authorities now believe that several faculty members and associates may have used the university as a cover for a white-collar terror network.

The blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station on November 10 killed nine people and injured nearly two dozen. Investigators have linked the explosion to a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)-backed module allegedly planning coordinated attacks across Delhi, Gurugram, and Faridabad — resembling the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Sources revealed the group aimed to target Red Fort, India Gate, Constitution Club, and Gauri Shankar Temple, intending to ignite communal tensions.
Doctors at the Centre of the Network
Investigators have identified several doctors from Pulwama, Shopian, and Anantnag as part of the module. These individuals allegedly used their medical credentials to move across Delhi-NCR undetected while setting up bases in Dhauj and Fatehpur Taga villages near Faridabad, where explosives were stored.

University Denies Allegations
Al-Falah University issued a statement calling the reports “baseless and misleading,” asserting that its labs are used only for academic training and that it adheres strictly to safety protocols and regulatory norms.
The university also stated it was fully cooperating with investigators and reaffirmed its commitment to the unity, peace, and security of India.
