Air India, owned by the Tata group, has announced the continuation of the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv until April 30, 2024, citing the evolving tension between Iran and Israel. The airline is offering support to passengers affected by this decision, including a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges.

In response to the situation, Air India has established a 24/7 Contact Centre and emphasized that the safety of its customers and crew remains its top priority.

This decision follows the temporary suspension of flights to Tel Aviv earlier in April due to escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.

Additionally, Air India has cancelled flights to and from Dubai Airport due to ongoing operational disruptions caused by heavy rainfall.

The airline is working to accommodate affected customers on alternative flights and is offering waivers on rescheduling and cancellation charges for those impacted.

Given the heightened tensions in the Middle East, airlines are adjusting their flight paths to avoid Iranian airspace, which may lead to increased operational costs and potentially higher airfares.
