Mumbai’s Bandra Police have registered a case against an unknown individual after receiving a threatening call targeting Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. The caller, who phoned in on a police landline, reportedly warned of plans to kill the actor and demanded Rs 50 lakh for his safety.
Following the incident, authorities have intensified security and collaborated with the Cyber Police Station to track down the individual responsible for the threat.
Mumbai Police Trace Call to Chhattisgarh
According to a senior police official, the Bandra Police station registered the case under Sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police have reportedly traced the call to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. An investigative team has been dispatched to Raipur to follow up on the lead, though no arrests have been made as yet.

The case comes amid heightened security concerns, as Shah Rukh Khan is not the only Bollywood star to face threats recently. Salman Khan has also received multiple threatening messages, with the most recent one on November 5 allegedly from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, demanding either an apology or Rs 5 crore.

Just days earlier, the Mumbai Police traffic control room received a WhatsApp message from an individual claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, demanding that Salman Khan either apologize or pay Rs 5 crore to avoid harm. The message stated that if Khan did not comply, the gang would take action, insisting that their group “is still active.”

These recent threats have raised security concerns for Bollywood’s leading actors, prompting authorities to increase vigilance. Mumbai Police have taken the threats seriously, with additional security measures in place around the actors’ residences and public appearances.
