New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday slammed Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) over the anti-encroachment drive conducted by the erstwhile Municipal Corporation of Delhi. They (AAP) also alleged that the BJP’s Rajinder Nagar candidate Rajesh Bhatia is running three illegal hotels in Delhi.
Addressing the media, AAP chief spokesperson and legislator Saurabh Bhardwaj said that why the party hasn’t demolished Rajesh Bhatia’s hotels despite having been recorded as illegal by the MCD.
“BJP’s Rajinder Nagar by-poll candidate is running three unauthorised hotels himself; why hasn’t he faced Bulldozer action yet? BJP and Adesh Gupta were celebrating when bulldozers demolished homes and shops of the poor all over Delhi; they must tell the public when their candidate’s hotels will be demolished,” Bhardwaj said.
“BJP Rajinder Nagar Candidate Rajesh Bhatia is running three illegal hotels in the area; his properties have been booked by the MCD too. BJP’s Delhi Unit single-handedly earned the record of spreading terror in Delhi and leaving lakhs of people jobless and hopeless,” he said.
“The BJP recklessly ran their bulldozers over the homes of the poor and oppressed, ended their businesses and livelihoods in the blink of an eye. Within a matter of two weeks, they ignited such horrifying levels of terror claiming that the BJP is against all kinds of encroachments and illegal construction. It is ironic that the very candidate that the BJP fielded for the Rajinder Nagar by-polls, himself owns three illegally constructed hotels along with his family. I would like to know from BJP State President Adesh Gupta himself – when will he take these bulldozers to demolish Rajesh Bhatia’s buildings?”Bhardwaj concluded.
