Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made his first-ever podcast appearance on the “People by WTF” series, hosted by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath. In the candid conversation, PM Modi admitted to being fallible, emphasizing that even he is not immune to making mistakes.
“Mistakes happen, and I too can make some. I am also a human, not god,” PM Modi remarked during the podcast, offering a rare glimpse into his personal reflections.
The podcast began with Kamath sharing his initial nervousness about conversing with the Prime Minister due to his limited fluency in Hindi. “Sir, please forgive me if my Hindi is not good. I am South Indian. I mostly grew up in Bangalore. My mother’s city is Mysuru, where people mostly speak Kannada. My father was near Mangalore. I learned Hindi in school, but I don’t have fluency in the language,” Kamath said with a smile.

PM Modi’s response was both reassuring and relatable. “Hum dono ki aise hi chalegi” (“We will manage together like this”), he said, adding, “I am sitting here in front of you and talking, I feel nervous. It’s a tough conversation for me. This is my first podcast, I don’t know how it’ll go with your audience.”

Among the anecdotes shared, PM Modi fondly recalled a memory from his early years. “I used to wash the clothes of all my family members. Because of that, I was allowed to go to the pond,” he revealed.
The trailer for the podcast was shared by PM Modi on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he expressed his enthusiasm for the project. “I hope you all enjoy this as much as we enjoyed creating it for you!” he wrote.
