Since no one was present at the roof during the dog’s attack, two woman suffered severe injuries on various parts of her body. Her domestic help first saw her lying in a pool of blood following which he informed about the incident to the family members.

Lucknow: Am 82-year-old woman was mauled to death by her pet dog, a Pit Bull, in the in the Bengali Tola locality of Qaiserbagh area of Lunckow on Wednesday. According to the reports, Shushila Tripathi, a retired school teacher, was on roof of her house in the morning hours when her Pit Bull dog attacked her.
Since no one was present at the roof during the dog’s attack, two woman suffered severe injuries on various parts of her body. Her domestic help first saw her lying in a pool of blood following which he informed about the incident to the family members. The woman was immediately taken to a private hospital where she was declared brought dead. Police sent her body for post-mortem examination, the reports of which is reportedly awaited.
Police later said that the 82-year-old school teacher was mauled by her pet dog due to which she died. Police also confirmed that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. The police officials also informed they are coordinating with officials of Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) for further proceeding. As per the report, a team of the municipal corporation reached her residence also but found the door locked.
LMC officials also said that a team of veterinary department reached the hosue to check whether the family has license to keep the Pit Bull or not and are following the guidelines of the civic agency for keeping a pet dog. Since house was locked, these details were not confirmed. They said that they are trying to contact with the deceased’s son so they could know about whereabouts of the dog also.
