An old video showing Manorama Khedkar, mother of trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, threatening a group of men with a gun has resurfaced online, further complicating the situation for the junior officer embroiled in controversy.
The 2023 batch officer is accused of falsifying her OBC non-creamy layer status in her UPSC application and claiming disabilities she refused to corroborate with tests.

What is the video about
Father of Puja Khedkar, Dilip Khedkar, a retired IAS officer, is alleged to have amassed substantial property, including 25 acres of land in the Mulshi taluka of Pune district.
Locals accuse the family of attempting to seize neighbouring farmers’ lands. When the farmers resisted, Manorama Khedkar confronted them with security guards, brandishing a gun.

In a two-minute video recorded by a local, Manorama Khedkar is seen waving a pocket pistol at a man, demanding to see land documents. The man asserts his ownership, stating the case is in court. Manorama Khedkar dismisses his claims, demanding the court order and warning him not to challenge her authority.
Farmers attempted to file a complaint against the Khedkar family at Pune’s Paud Police Station but were reportedly turned away.
The NDTV reported that Puja Khedkar owns five plots of land and two apartments across Maharashtra, valued at Rs 22 crore. She also owns two apartments in Ahmednagar and Pune, worth Rs 45 lakh and Rs 75 lakh, respectively.
Abuse of power allegations
Puja Khedkar faces serious accusations of “abuse of power.” She allegedly used a red beacon, VIP number plates, and a “Government of Maharashtra” sticker on her private Audi sedan. Additionally, she reportedly occupied the office of Additional Collector Ajay More during his absence, removing furniture and demanding letterheads.
In response to the escalating controversy, Puja Khedkar has been transferred to Washim.
