Adilabad (Telangana): In a momentous event on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated to the nation a slew of developmental projects totaling over Rs 56,000 crores in Adilabad, Telangana. The projects encompass significant strides in the power, rail, and road sectors, aiming to bolster infrastructure and foster economic growth in the region.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the transformative impact these initiatives would have, not just for Telangana but for the nation as a whole. More than 30 projects, spanning diverse domains such as energy, environmental sustainability, and road connectivity, were either inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid during the ceremony.

Highlighting the collaborative efforts between the Central Government and the state of Telangana, Prime Minister Modi underscored their shared commitment to realizing the aspirations of the people. Notable milestones included the inauguration of the 800 MW capacity NTPC Unit 2, which promises to enhance electricity generation in Telangana, and the electrification of crucial rail lines like Ambari – Adilabad – Pimpalkhuti.

Moreover, the Prime Minister announced the commencement of two major National Highway projects in Adilabad, Bela, and Mulugu, aimed at bolstering transportation infrastructure and catalyzing regional development. He emphasized that these modernized rail and road networks would not only expedite travel but also stimulate tourism and create employment opportunities.
In line with his vision of fostering inclusive growth, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the mantra of nation-building through state development. He underscored the pivotal role of robust economic growth in bolstering trust and attracting investments, citing India’s impressive growth rate of 8.4 percent in the last quarter as a testament to its economic resilience.
Reflecting on the paradigm shift in governance over the past decade, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to uplifting the marginalized sections of society. He lauded the success of welfare schemes in alleviating poverty and empowering millions, reaffirming his pledge to amplify such efforts in the coming years.
The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries including Governor of Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister of Telangana, Revantha Reddy, and Union Minister, G Kishan Reddy, among others.
