Swati Maliwal, a prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, has accused Arvind Kejriwal’s close aide, Bibhav Kumar, of assaulting her under the directions of the Chief Minister himself, revealed sources told the media.
According to police sources, two distress calls were made by Swati Maliwal from the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence. The first call was logged at around 9:34 am. Subsequently, Swati Maliwal approached the police station and indicated her intent to file a formal complaint regarding the incident.
Who is Arvind Kejriwal’s PA who allegedly assaulted Swati Maliwal
Bibhav Kumar recently gained attention when the Delhi Vigilance Department dismissed him from his role as Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary, citing an “illegal appointment” linked to a 2007 case involving assault and obstruction of a public servant from performing duties.

Who said what
Reacting to the assault allegation by Swati Maliwal against Arvind Kejriwal, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekar criticised the party, highlighting previous incidents involving women MPs. He stated, “Don’t forget this is the same Kejriwal who also assaulted the Chief Secretary IAS officer.”
Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP IT cell, pointed out Maliwal’s earlier silence on Kejriwal’s arrest and absence from India during that time.
“AAP RS MP and former DCW chief Swati Maliwal alleges that Delhi CM’s PA assaulted her. Call made from Delhi CM’s House. Remember, Swati Maliwal had maintained radio silence on Kejriwal’s arrest. She was in fact not even in India at that time and didn’t return for a long time,” Malviya commented.
Vijender Gupta, ex-BJP Delhi president, expressed concern over the incident, branding Kejriwal as a “dictator and a megalomaniac” known for mistreating colleagues who oppose him.
Similarly, BJP leader Kapil Mishra demanded a clarification from AAP regarding the alleged assault. “Did Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav beat up Swati Maliwal? Will the Chief Minister’s office give any clarification? May God grant that the news of beating of a female Rajya Sabha MP in the Chief Minister’s house is false,” Mishra asserted.
The allegation by Swati Maliwal has ignited a wave of criticism and demands for accountability from the AAP leadership, signaling escalating tensions in Delhi’s political landscape.
