India is a treasure trove of heritage. All of us Indians have got many types of literature, cultural heritage, customs etc. in our heritage. There is also a Sindhi heritage in them. The original inhabitants of Sindhi and the people who settled on the banks of the river Indus are called “Sindhis”

New Delhi: Sindhi Virasat Utsav was organized by Sindhi Academy, on Sunday in the Dilli Haat Pitam pura. India is a treasure trove of heritage. All of us Indians have got many types of literature, cultural heritage, customs etc. in our heritage. There is also a Sindhi heritage in them. The original inhabitants of Sindhi and the people who settled on the banks of the river Indus are called “Sindhis”. It is an Indo-Aryan race. After the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, most of the Hindus and Sikhs of Sindh migrated from there to India or other countries.
Sufi principles had a deep impact on Sindhi culture. The objective of this event was to highlight and spread the continuous contribution of Sindhi Language in the India Literacy traditions and popularizing the diverse and multi-faceted Sindhi Literature among the Sindhi Populace, primarily the youth.
This festival has been organized by the Delhi Government in the series of 75th Independence Day Festival. Through such Utsav, the academy can keep the experiences of our generations alive by making our new generation aware through cultural programs. No matter how far we may go in today’s time, but even today we are bound by our heritage.
