The BSF also said that the suspected flying object was a quadcopter made by DJI Matrice 300 RTX. This is not the first time that the hostile neighbour has tried to send contraband into Punjab and Jammu sectors.

New Delhi: A quadcopter coming from Pakistan side towards Punjab’s Ferozpur Sector along the India-Pakistan border was shot down by the Border Security Force (BSF). A BSF spokesperson said that its personnel detected the quadcopter at around 3 am after troops heard a humming sound. They illuminated the area with “para bombs” to aim at the drone, a BSF spokesperson said.
The BSF personnel recovered a green coloured bag after the drone was shot down. The packet contained four packets in yellow wrappings and one small packet in a black wrapping. The gross weight of the suspected contraband item is about 4.17 kgs, with packing material, and the packet wrapped in black weighs about 250 grams, the spokesperson said. The BSF also said that the suspected flying object was a quadcopter made by DJI Matrice 300 RTX. This is not the first time that the hostile neighbour has tried to send contraband into Punjab and Jammu sectors.
The BSF, since 2021 has shot down several drones that originated in Pakistan and were carrying arms and ammunition. In December 2021, the BSF shot down a Chinese-made drone along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab near the Wan border post in the Ferozepur Sector.
