New Delhi: Displaying her dominance, India’s ace shuttler P V Shindhu on Sunday clinched her Super 500 title in her third final. Shindhu beat China’s Wang ZY 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 in the three set fight. With the victory, P V Sindhu became the second Indian to win a Singapore Open title as one Saina Nehwal have achieved this in the past.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to Sindhu for her stunning victory. Modi tweeted, “I congratulate @Pvsindhu1 on winning her first ever Singapore Open title. She has yet again demonstrated her exceptional sporting talent and achieved success. It is a proud moment for the country and will also give inspiration to upcoming players.”
