People of Punjab will now be able to travel directly from Punjab to New Delhi Airport beginning today. The Punjab government is starting luxury buses with all amenities, including air conditioning and comfortable seats, to ensure a blissful ride, said Bhagwant Mann.

Jalandhar: Punjab government on Wednesday started a Volvo bus service between Jalamdhar and IGI Airport in New Delhi. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann flagged off the new fleet from Jalandhar. With this, people will be able to reach Delhi at just Rs 1170.
“Earlier people had to fall into the shackles of the mafia, but now there is an honest government in Punjab to protect them. What AAP’s government has done in just three months, previous governments could not do in their whole tenures. There has been no such attack on corruption anywhere in the last 70 years in the country as there has been in Punjab in the last three months. AAP’s government has freed about 5,500 acres of land in the last three months; if the old government had been here still, it would have occupied even more land. The Punjab government has started the work of recruiting 25000 people; 26000 temporary workers will soon get permanent jobs through a bill in the budget session. Earlier, the patron of all the gangsters, anti-social and anti-national elements used to sit in the government, now there is no one left to give them political protection.” Said Arvind kejriwal.
‘Bhagwant Mann informed, “You will be able to book bus tickets online three months in advance, tickets can be booked six months in advance from the counters too. For decades, only private transporters were running buses on this route, now the transport mafia will be a thing of the past.”
Both the chief ministers flagged off Super Deluxe Volvo Buses that will ply between Punjab and IGI Airport. The flagging off ceremony took place at ISBT Jalandhar where both the CMs paid floral tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh’s statue and sought his blessings.
“People of Punjab will now be able to travel directly from Punjab to New Delhi Airport beginning today. The Punjab government is starting luxury buses with all amenities, including air conditioning and comfortable seats, to ensure a blissful ride. Many NRIs get exploited by the bus mafia when they are visiting their hometowns and villages. The fare for a single side was around Rs 3,000-5,000, but they had no choice but to travel from those buses by paying such exorbitant fares, which will no longer be the case. Punjab now has an honest government,” Kejriwal added.
