New Delhi: The wave of the CM Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi Government’s Education Revolution in Delhi had now reached Punjab too. Taking the cue from the Kejriwal Education Model, CM Sardar Bhagwat Mann-led Punjab Government is working in a mission mode to make the state’s education model world-class. Working in the same direction, the Punjab government organised the first Mega PTM in the state on Saturday. Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi Shri Manish Sisodia along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Education Minister Sardar Harjot Singh Bains participated in the mega PTM of Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Model Town, in Patiala. He met with the parents present and discussed the education of their children.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, “The purpose of mega PTM being organised in Punjab government schools on the lines of Delhi is to connect the parents with the school of their children, as they are very important partners in the process of learning. The same kind of PTMs was also organised in Delhi government schools and parents welcomed this initiative wholeheartedly. The response of parents was overwhelming. Until recent times parents were called to the school only to complain, now they are being welcomed at schools warmly and teachers work together with them on strategies to further improve the level of learning of their children. This Mega PTM has put a positive impact on parents and now they participate in the learning process of their children. Mega PTMs have not only brought improvement in the behaviour of children but have also improved the academic results of schools.”
Sisodia said that the education revolution has started in Punjab. “It is a very happy and proud moment that for the first time, teachers and parents in all the government schools are participating in Mega PTM together for the brighter future of the children. This Mega PTM organised in Punjab government schools across the state will ensure the contribution of parents, teachers and students in making the Punjab education system world-class.”
The Deputy Chief Minister said, “I feel proud to see the confidence and interest of parents in the education of their children. The enthusiasm for Mega PTM which I saw in the parents of Delhi a few years ago, today I can see the same enthusiasm in the parents of Punjab. Parents of children studying in the Punjab government schools are sure that the future of their children is in secure hands under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann led government.”
While thanking the parents present at the Mega PTM, he further added, “I have one big dream of making all the government schools of India world-class so that every child studying in them can get a better education than those studying in private schools. The people of Punjab chose the AAP government and now the wheel of the education revolution has been set in motion in the state. If one government school in Punjab can be excellent, then the remaining 20,000 government schools can also become excellent and the Mann government is determined to transform all of them.”
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “Today people in the country are not able to save money for themselves despite working for 12 hours a day. Today there is the Aam Aadmi Party government in 2 places and there we are working to provide relief to the people by providing zero electricity bills and excellent education to the children. We are proud that today the children studying in our schools are dreaming big and working hard to fulfil them.”
Punjab Education Minister Sardar Harjot Singh Bains said, “Arvind Kejriwal has only one dream to make India No.1 in the world. If we have to make this dream come true, then it can be done only through education and by making all schools world-class. We all have seen Delhi government schools undergoing a spectacular transformation, and now it is the turn of Punjab schools. The priority of our government is to make all the 20,000 government schools of Punjab excellent.”
