Recently, a man from Pune waved farewell to his allegedly toxic workplace, but this wasn’t a typical farewell!
While his supervisor watched, Aniket, a sales associate, invited musicians to his office and they danced to the sounds of dhol beats. Popular content creator Anish Bhagat revealed this unusual exit from the organisation online.
“I think a lot of you are going to relate to this. Toxic work culture is so prominent these days. Lack of respect and entitlement is quite common,” Anish Bhagat claimed.
According to Bhagat, Aniket’s three-year employment ended due to a “very toxic” work atmosphere. Aniket said that his supervisor didn’t appreciate him and that his raise was in “peanuts” in an Instagram video. Because he was “from a middle-class family”, he claimed to feel stuck.
Aniket’s friends and Bhagat planned a surprise celebration outside Aniket’s workplace on his last day, making Aniket’s departure unforgettable. They entered with dhols and took their time until his manager emerged.
Aniket shook his hand and bid him farewell, saying, “Sorry, sir. Bye-bye.” Then he was seen dancing to the rhythms of the dhol. Visibly irritated, his manager attempted to halt the recording. The manager “got pissed off” and “started pushing people,” according to Bhagat. He also said, “Now I know why (Aniket) quit.”

After visiting a temple, the group went to Aniket’s house, where Bhagat and Aniket’s friends surprised him with a cake and posters that said, “Aatma nirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India).
Aniket will now follow his dream of becoming a fitness trainer, Bhagat said, giving him some gym shoes as a gift. “Aniket is ready to begin his next step. I hope this story inspires people. If you’re looking for a trainer, you can reach out to @aniketrandhir_1718,” Bhagat wrote.
According to a 2023 Harappa Insights analysis, two of the main reasons workers leave their professions are toxic bosses and toxic work conditions. According to the survey, workers left their jobs in 58 percent of cases because of toxic supervisors and 54 percent because of toxic work conditions.
