CM Hemant Soren said that it seems that BJP men including a Member of Parliament and his puppet journalists have themselves drafted the ECI’s draft report.
Ranchi: Amid report recommendation of Election Commission of India (ECI) to disqualify Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren from MLA in connection with office-of-profit case, the CM on Friday said that the ‘sealed report’ has been drafted by the BJP men. Soren said that he has not received any communication from the Raj Bhawan since he has been watching several media reports regarding recommendations made by the ECI to the Jharkhand Governor. The BJP, however, has claimed that their plea to disqualify Soren as legislature has been succeeded. The opposition party has also demanded mid-term polls in the state claiming that the government has lost morality to remain in power.
Reacting sharply over the BJP’s claim of his disqualification, CM Hemant Soren said that it seems that BJP men including a Member of Parliament and his puppet journalists have themselves drafted the ECI’s draft report. He said that the report is otherwise a sealed cover report.
Soren’s Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), in a series of tweets, said, “Have constitutional institutions sold themselves? What is the information inside the sealed envelope of the Election Commission, how did this BJP MP, its leaders and so called journalists of Godi Media come to know? Should the name of the Election Commission be changed to BJP Commission?”
The JMM, in another tweet, said, “In the door of the public Jharkhand BJP’s shameless leaders went on losing again and again to the tribal son of Jharkhand and the Jharkhand government. If nothing could be done from them, then they started misusing the constitutional institutions. But this is also Jharkhand. We know how to respond to exploitation.”
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, in a tweet, said, “RSS sanskars raised me, my family went to jail in emergency, party like BJP made a small worker like me MP, whose leadership honorable Prime Minister Modi ji is proud of us. The letter reached the Governor.”
He demanded mid-term polls in the state claiming that the ruling coalition has lost its moral authority to run the government. Assembly should be dissolved and there should be elections in all 81 assembly constituencies. He accused the state CM of giving himself a mining lease and thus sought his disqualification.
The Congress party leaders from the state have said that the coalition has numbers in any case hence there is no question of mid-term polls. They said that the BJP is destabilising the government to gain political mileage in 2024 Lok Sabha elections but all its attempts will go down the drain.
