The sudden weather shift occurred when the India Meteorological Department issued a forecast for thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain in Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar. There was light rainfall in areas of south Mumbai and gusty rain in suburbs including Dadar, Kurla, Mahim, Ghatkopar, Mulund, and Vikhroli.
Mumbai’s monsoon season was given a surprising twist by the unexpected dust storm, which left locals amazed and entertained by this unusual meteorological occurrence.
