In a shocking incident near Mumbai, a 20-year-old man brutally murdered his ex-girlfriend on a busy road in Vasai this morning, while a crowd watched in horror without intervening. The assailant, identified as Rohit Yadav, attacked 19-year-old Aarti Yadav with a spanner, suspecting she had moved on to a new relationship.
The tragic event occurred around 8:30 am in the East Chinchpada area of Vasai as Aarti was on her way to work. Disturbing CCTV footage reveals Aarti walking along a crowded road when Rohit suddenly appears behind her and delivers a forceful blow to her head with the spanner, causing her to collapse. As she tries to lift her head, Rohit strikes her repeatedly, hitting her 15 times on the head until she becomes motionless.

During the attack, one man attempts to intervene but is quickly threatened and pushed away by Rohit, who continues his frenzied assault as the crowd remains passive. Another video, recorded by an onlooker, shows Rohit standing over Aarti’s body, shouting, “Why did you do this to me, why did you do this?” before delivering another blow and discarding the bloodied spanner.
Police have arrested Rohit Yadav and charged him with murder. They reported that Rohit was distressed over the end of their relationship and suspected Aarti had found a new partner. The brutal nature of the crime and the inaction of the bystanders have sparked outrage and calls for justice.
