Who Are The LeT Terrorists Killed In Indian Strikes? | In a major counter-terrorism offensive under Operation Sindoor, India struck nine terrorist camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in the early hours of May 7, eliminating several top commanders of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) — two terror groups banned internationally, including by the United Nations and the United States.
According to intelligence sources, the airstrikes were launched around 1:30 AM and successfully neutralised several high-value targets deeply embedded within Pakistan’s terror infrastructure.
Top Terror Leaders Eliminated in the Indian Strikes
Among those killed in the pre-dawn strikes were:
Mudassar Khadian Khas (Abu Jundal): A top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander and head of Markaz Taiba in Muridke. Pakistani military sources confirmed that Abu Jundal was given a guard of honour at his funeral by the Pakistan Army, further reinforcing India’s longstanding allegations of Pakistan’s state complicity in terror operations.
Hafiz Muhammed Jameel: The eldest brother-in-law of JeM chief Masood Azhar, and head of Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur. Jameel was one of the most prominent ideologues in Jaish and a key fundraiser, credited with radicalising large numbers of youth across the region.
Mohammad Yusuf Azhar (alias Ustad Ji): Another brother-in-law of Masood Azhar, Yusuf Azhar was wanted in the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and played a critical role in weapons training and militant operations in Kashmir.

Khalid (Abu Akasha) and Mohammad Hassan Khan, other senior operatives linked to the terror networks, were also confirmed dead in the strikes.
Operation Sindoor: India’s Strategic Counter-Offensive
The strikes mark a significant escalation in India’s calibrated military campaign against terrorism following the Pahalgam massacre on April 22, where 26 civilians were killed in a terror attack linked to Pakistan-based operatives. Since then, India has conducted multiple precision operations, targeting drone launch pads, training camps, and weapons depots within Pakistan and PoK.
“These high-profile eliminations are a serious blow to the LeT and JeM command structures and will impact their operational capabilities,” a senior defence official told India Today.
Pakistan’s Complicity Once Again Under Scrutiny
The revelation that Abu Jundal was honoured by the Pakistan Army after his death has further exposed Islamabad’s deep-rooted links to banned terrorist organisations. India has repeatedly accused Pakistan of harbouring and supporting terror groups as part of its proxy war strategy in Jammu and Kashmir.

The international community, including the United States, France, and Japan, has urged Pakistan to dismantle these terror networks and take immediate steps to curb cross-border terrorism.
