Modi government has done the work of providing clean drinking water through the Jal Jeevan Mission to every household even in remote areas like Andaman and Nicobar, but Kejriwal has been only consoling the people for the last seven years, said Adesh Gupta.
New Delhi: Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta on Friday said that for the past several days, the people of Delhi are suffering for water, but Kejriwal is not doing anything except making new promises. Kejriwal has once again done the work of showing dreams to the people of Delhi. Now Kejriwal, along with Danish Ambassador Freddy Swain, is talking about providing clean water, clean air and world-class roads to the people of Delhi. He has now handed over the air, water and roads of Delhi to Denmark, he remarked.
Gupta said that by joining hands with Denmark, Kejriwal has agreed that he has not been able to do anything during his seven years in office. Kejriwa by putting up huge hoardings is only wasting the money of Delhi’s taxpayers like water. But he could not even give clean drinking water to the people of Delhi for 24 hours.
He said that the Modi government has done the work of providing clean drinking water through the Jal Jeevan Mission to every household even in remote areas like Andaman and Nicobar, but Kejriwal has been only consoling the people for the last seven years. His claim of supplying tap water from door to door has remained confined to paper only. The Modi government has done the work of setting up Asia’s largest STP plant at Okhla, in which about 600 million liters of water will be purified. Along with building a river front inside Delhi, work has been done to build the world’s largest eco park.
He said that if Kejriwal ever sees his own statement to reduce pollution, he will only be ashamed of himself. After all, how many times will you keep chanting and repeating the same tune to the public? The central government has built Delhi Eastern Peripheral Road without any publicity to remove Delhi’s pollution due to which now 60 thousand vehicles have stopped entering Delhi thus giving it a much wanted respite from pollution. He said that beautification work has started on the banks of Yamuna at a cost of Rs 600 crore. Apart from this, 300 electric buses have to be given to Delhi under the FAME-2 scheme for the citizens of Delhi to breathe clean air, out of which 150 buses have already been received.
The Delhi BJP chief said that Kejriwal repeatedly talks about making the roads of Delhi world class and washing them, but today its rural roads including at Burari, Kirari, JJ cluster are in bad condition. It is difficult to understand whether there are roads between potholes or potholes between roads, he remarked sarcastically.
