Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid a solemn tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1999 Kargil War, emphasizing that Pakistan has failed to learn from its past defeats and continues to harbour terrorists. Speaking at the Kargil War memorial, PM Modi stated, “Pakistan faced defeat whenever it has carried out any misadventure. It has not learned any lessons from history.”
The Prime Minister highlighted the enduring legacy of the Indian soldiers’ sacrifice, asserting that their bravery and dedication to the nation would always be remembered through the observance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. “Their sacrifice for the nation is immortal and will always be remembered in the form of Kargil Vijay Diwas,” he said.
