Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, General Officer Commanding, Delhi Area, on Thursday flagged off the ‘Heart to Bravehearts’ Car Rally from Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantonment, marking the 25th anniversary of India’s victory in the Kargil War.
The ‘Heart to Bravehearts’ Car Rally, organized by Mahindra & Mahindra in collaboration with the Indian Army, is a tribute to the valour, resilience, and sacrifices of the Kargil War heroes.

The rally was simultaneously flagged off from Tanot Border Post, Tezu, and Kochi Port on June 30, 2024, carrying messages from citizens to soldiers, especially those stationed at the borders.
After converging in Delhi on July 9, the teams were flagged off on Thursday to proceed to the Kargil War Memorial at Dras. The rally will cover over 10,000 km, culminating at the Kargil War Memorial on July 15, 2024.

Passing through various military stations en route, the rally felicitates brave soldiers of the Indian Army. The flag-off and flag-in ceremonies at prominent locations are conducted in the presence of serving personnel, veterans, Veer Naris (war widows), family members of the bravehearts, and eminent dignitaries. Kargil War veterans and Veer Naris are being honoured for their sacrifices and unwavering support during the war.
The rally carries messages from citizens in the form of letters, poems, sketches, and other creative expressions collected at Mahindra & Mahindra showrooms across India. These messages, along with stories of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism, are being delivered to soldiers across the country. The campaign encourages all Indians to express their appreciation towards the Indian Armed Forces.
