Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, stating that “a new chapter is being added to the future of our young state.” Addressing a grand state-level ceremony at Morabadi Ground, Ranchi, held to mark one year of the government’s second term, he distributed 8,792 appointment letters to newly selected candidates.
He said the appointments would directly strengthen the confidence of at least 50,000 people connected to these beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister said that while the day brought immense excitement, the absence of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren made the moment emotional. He added that Guruji would have been delighted to witness such a large number of youth receiving government jobs. CM Soren also paid tribute to social reformer Jyotiba Phule on his death anniversary.
A Historic Milestone for the State
Soren said completing the first year of the government’s second term with such a large-scale recruitment drive makes the day truly historic. He reiterated that the government is fully committed to shaping a stronger future for youth.
This year alone, over 16,000 youth have secured government jobs, and 8,000 more have been placed in non-government sectors. In recent years, thousands have found employment in both public and private domains due to the government’s continuous efforts. He assured that the recruitment drive would continue.

Government Working Sensitively for All Communities
Soren said the government is working with full sensitivity towards every section — including tribal, Dalit, backward classes, women, youth and persons with disabilities. He said efforts are being made to uplift educated, semi-educated and uneducated individuals alike by offering opportunities based on their skills and capacity.
Recalling the struggle of ancestors who fought for the creation of Jharkhand, Soren said the responsibility of strengthening the state lies on the shoulders of officers, farmers, youth, teachers and citizens alike.
He said collective and meaningful efforts can build a stronger and more empowered Jharkhand.
Visible Impact of Government Schemes
Highlighting the widespread effect of government initiatives, the CM said the Mukhyamantri Maiyya Samman Yojana has empowered countless women, helping them become self-reliant. He narrated the example of a woman who completed her education through the scheme and is now appointed as an officer.
