Sindri: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone and inaugurated a slew of development projects amounting to Rs 35,700 crores in Sindri, Dhanbad.
These projects span crucial sectors, including fertilizer, rail, power and coal, promising to usher in a new era of progress and prosperity for the region.
Among the notable highlights of the day, Prime Minister Modi inspected the HURL Model and took a walkthrough of the Sindri Plant Control Room, symbolizing a hands-on approach towards ensuring the success of these ventures.
Addressing the gathered crowd, Prime Minister Modi hailed the initiation of development projects worth over Rs 35,700 crores in Jharkhand as a moment of pride for the farmers, tribals, and citizens of the state.

He reminisced about his resolution to revive the Sindri Fertiliser Plant, stating, “This was Modi ki Guarantee, and today this guarantee has been fulfilled.” The Prime Minister emphasized the employment opportunities these projects would generate for the local youth, underscoring their significance in the journey towards an ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’.
Highlighting the importance of achieving self-sufficiency in urea production, Prime Minister Modi outlined the strides made by his government in boosting domestic production, thereby reducing the dependency on imports. He mentioned the revival of several fertilizer plants across the country, including Sindri, and expressed confidence in India’s impending self-sufficiency in urea production.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi lauded the beginning of a new chapter in the railway revolution in Jharkhand, with the inauguration of new rail lines and the doubling of existing ones. He also mentioned significant railway projects such as the Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line and the Deoghar – Dibrugarh train service, aimed at enhancing connectivity and boosting economic development in the region.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to the holistic development of Jharkhand, with a focus on empowering tribal communities, the poor, youth, and women. He stressed the importance of making India a developed nation by 2047, highlighting the country’s robust economic growth and the government’s support towards realizing this vision.
The Prime Minister concluded his speech with best wishes and congratulations for the people of Jharkhand, as he proceeded to Dhanbad to continue his engagements. The event was attended by dignitaries including the Governor of Jharkhand C P Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Champai Soren and Union Minister Arjun Munda, among others.
With the unveiling of these monumental projects, Jharkhand stands poised to chart a path of progress and prosperity, reaffirming its pivotal role in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
