New Delhi: According to unverified sources, ISKCON’s Radhakanta Temple in Bangladesh was vandalised by alleged extremists late on Thursday night. While social media was abuzz with posts and many asked the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to take up the matter with the Bangladesh authorities, the MEA is yet to respond to the incident.

According to sources, a mob allegedly beat up Hindu devotees who had gathered at the Dhaka temple on the eve of Holi.

The attack comes months after several Durga Puja pandals were vandalised in Bangladesh leaving at least three dead. A week back, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked the authorities to provide monetary assistance to the temples, puja pandals and business establishments of the Hindu community in the country that were damaged in the attacks by the fanatic mobs.
