If India belongs to anyone, it’s Dravidians, Adivasis, said the AIMIM leader.

Bhiwandi: Taking a dig at BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said that they are ‘only after Mughals’. Owaisi, addressing a rally in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra, said that the country neither belongs to him nor Thackeray’s and nor Modi-Shah’s and if it belong to anyone it is Dravidians and Adivasis. India was formed from people who came from Africa, Iran, parts of central and east Asia.
Criticising Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar, he AIMIM leader questioned him why he didn’t meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Nawab Malik’s arrest as he did for Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. Pawar shoul do same for Nawab Malik also. “Is Malik is not equal to Raut? Why Pawar did not speak for Malik, his own party leader. It is because he is Muslim?” asked Owaisi.
Taking jibe at BJP Shiv Sena, SP and NCP, the AIMIM chief said that these parties are the secular parties. They think that they should not go to jail but it is okay if someone Muslim party member goes.
Slamming the arrest of party’s Bhiwandi leader Khalid Guddu, Owaisi demanded his release. Guddu, who was arrested in fraud case, is in jail. The AIMIM chief said that he has been framed in a wrong section. “I urge the ruling party in state to please release Khalid Guddu,” added Owaisi. He said that Guddu was raising voice against corruption so he was booked and arrested by the state government.
Asaduddin Owaisi, in an earlier address, had slammed government over rising inflation. “I believe Mughals are responsible for the rising petrol prices. Aurangzeb is responsible for it. Akbar is responsible for inflation and Shah Jahan for unemployment. This is what I believe. All these responsibilities fall on the Mughals. Prime Minister is not responsible for anything,” Owaisi had said.
