New Delhi: Today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its second list of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The roster features prominent figures, including Nitin Gadkari contesting from Nagpur, former Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar from Karnal, and Piyush Goyal from Mumbai North.
Anurag Singh Thakur has been nominated from Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur constituency, Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur, Pralhad Joshi from Dharwad, Piyush Goyal from Mumbai North, Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje from Bangalore North, Tejasvi Surya from Bangalore South, and Trivendra Singh Rawat from Haridwar.
Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who resigned earlier this week, will contest from the Karnal Lok Sabha seat. Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashok Tanwar will run as the BJP candidate from Sirsa.
Rao Inderjit Singh Yadav has been nominated from Gurgaon, Minister of State for Heavy Industries Kishan Pal Gurjar from Faridabad, Pankaja Munde from Beed in Maharashtra, Minister of State Bharati Pravi Pawar from Dindori, Raosaheb Dadarao Danve from Jalna, and Sudhir Mungantiwar from Chandrapur.

Mysore MP Pratap Simha, who was involved in the Parliament security breach incident, has been replaced. Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will now represent Mysore.
In Delhi, the BJP has replaced six out of its seven sitting MPs. Harsh Malhotra will contest from East Delhi and Yogendra Chandolia from North West Delhi.
BJP leader Vivek Sahu will face former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s son, Nakul Nath, in Chhindwara.
The BJP’s Central Election Committee convened its second meeting on Monday to finalize candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, with senior leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reviewing the list of probables for several states.
In the initial list, the BJP announced candidates for 195 seats across 16 states and two Union territories. However, Bhojpuri singer-actor Pawan Singh and Upendra Rawat withdrew their candidacies following controversies surrounding their choices.
Earlier, on March 2, the BJP had announced its first list of 195 candidates which also featured 34 ministers.
