He said that Congress always stood with citizens of the country, raised their voice and fought their fight and will continue to do so till the tyrannical forces ruling the nation gets defeated
New Delhi: Making a scathing attack during ‘Mehangai Par Halla Bol’ rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, senior Congress leader and former party president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that hate and anger are on rise in the country since the BJP came to power. Gandhi said that policies of the Narendra Modi-led central government are largely benefitting two big industrialists. He said that Modi cannot be a PM without their support.
“Both RSS and BJP have been dividing the country and have developed fear among citizens. Only two big industrialists are getting benefits from the Modi government while the poor, farmers, small traders and others are suffering,” Gandhi said while addressing the crowd.
“Narendra Modi did demonetisation, did demonetisation benefit the poor? Withdrawing money from the pockets of the poor, the poor were told that this is a fight against black money. Then the government waived off the loans of big industrialists of the country,” he said.
“They will not waive the loan of the farmer, they will bring 3 black laws against the farmers. Was told that these 3 black laws are in the interest of farmers, then why is the farmer standing on the streets,” Gandhi said.
Talking about the farmers’ bill, the Congress MP said, “These 3 black laws were not for the farmers, these 3 black laws were for the same two industrialists. The farmers had understood this, so the farmers of India came on the streets and showed the power of farmers to Narendra Modi.”
He added that the BJP changed GST, hit small-medium businesses, farmers, labourers, and small shopkeepers by imposing five different taxes. “Today the country will not be able to provide employment to its youth even if it wants. Because these two industrialists do not give employment to the country, small-medium business, farmers give employment to the country and Narendra Modi has broken the backbone of these people,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi further said that the unemployment that you are seeing today, will increase further in the coming times. You are rising unemployment on one side and inflation on the other. “Congress party always stood with citizens of the country, raised their voice and fought their fight and will continue to do so till the tyrannical forces ruling the nation gets defeated,” the Congress leader said.
