New Delhi: In yet another round of tussle between Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the former has returned as many as 45 files over no signature of the CM. The LG office returned the files or paperwork with no undersign or signature on them.
As per the report, the filed sent from the office of CM Arvind Kejriwal instead signed by the staff of the Chief Minister’s office. The files included paperwork related to the national capital’s education department and Waqf Board besides others.
The LG office, while returning the files, have reportedly asked to sign every file in the interest of smooth and effective governance. The LG office has also told the CM office to implement the e-office system. It has said that the system has been introduced in most of the government offices as it enables the smooth movement of files.
The LG, in the letter, has said that files are being sent by the CMO office with the comment that they have been “seen and approved” by the chief minister. “Proposals have been submitted by your office for my approval/opinion with remarks CM has seen and approved the proposal, without specifying grounds of urgency warranting such a communication…it may be ensured that proposals should be duly signed by you,” the LG said.
He has further said that with no signature of the Chief Minister’s signature, it was not clear whether the proposal had been seen and approved by him or not. “In the interest of smooth and effective governance, it may be ensured that proposals, which are submitted by your office for my opinion or approval as the case may be, should be duly signed by your good self,” he wrote.
