Delhi Kabir Nagar Shootout: In a tragic shooting incident last night in Delhi’s Kabir Nagar, one person was killed and two others were injured after three assailants opened fire on a group of friends. The three friends were returning home on a scooter when they were ambushed by attackers on a motorcycle. Nadeem, one of the victims, was fatally shot, and his friend remains in critical condition at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

According to reports, the attackers fired seven rounds before fleeing the scene, taking Nadeem’s scooter and mobile phone but abandoning their own motorcycle. Locals quickly responded, transporting the victims to the hospital, where Nadeem succumbed to his injuries. Police have launched a murder and attempted murder investigation and are analysing CCTV footage as part of their inquiry.

Arrest of Three Minors

The police have detained three minors in connection with the shooting. Sources reveal that one of the suspects had allegedly borrowed money from Nadeem and had recently been pressured for repayment. Authorities believe this could have been a motive behind the deadly assault. Investigations are ongoing, and the arrested minors are currently being interrogated.

The same group is believed to have been involved in a separate firing incident in nearby Jyoti Nagar earlier that evening. Police allege the group fired six rounds outside the residence of a man named Rahul. Three country-made pistols were recovered from the suspects, and authorities are probing whether additional gang affiliations or other incidents may be connected.

Arms Syndicate Crackdown

In a related crackdown, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch arrested two members of an arms supply syndicate, including the main supplier, Shakeel. Shakeel has been charged in over 17 criminal cases, including involvement in the Hanuman Jayanti riots in Jahangirpuri. During the operation, 13 pistols were seized, adding to a larger investigation in which over 50 firearms were recovered from arms suppliers in the past week.

This incident underscores growing concerns over violence in the area, as police intensify efforts to clamp down on illegal firearms and apprehend those involved in recent violent attacks. The investigation continues as authorities seek to bring justice to the victims and prevent further violence in Delhi’s neighborhoods.
