Telugu actor Chandrakanth, known for his roles in daily soaps, has tragically passed away. The actor allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Alkapur, Telangana, on Friday. His death comes shortly after the loss of his co-star and close friend Pavithra Jayaram, who died in a car accident.
According to a statement from Chandrakanth’s father, the actor had been depressed for the past few days, deeply mourning Pavithra’s death.
Chandrakanth had expressed his grief through emotional tributes to his ‘Trinayani’ co-star on social media. His last Instagram post was dedicated to Pavithra, and it is reported that the two were in a relationship.
In one poignant post, he wrote, “Papa netho digina last pic raa (cry emojis) not able to digest to left me alone, okasari mama aniii piluveee plsss @pavithrajayaram_chandar. My Pavi is no more (cry and pray emojis) pls ra come back plsss. (This is the last picture I took with you, I’m unable to digest you left me alone. Please call out for me once again. My Pavi is no more, please come back).”

He also posted on his Instagram stories, “Papa pls come back raaa. Pls nee mama kannilu aaplu. (Please come back and wipe my tears.)”
The sudden loss of both actors has left the Telugu film and television industry in shock and mourning.
Actor Pavithra Jayaram, known for her role as Thilottama in the popular Telugu television series “Trinayani,” died in a car accident on Sunday.
The tragic incident occurred near Mehbooba Nagar in Andhra Pradesh. Pavithra Jayaram died on the spot after the car she was traveling in lost control and hit a divider. The impact caused the car’s right side to collide with a bus traveling from Hyderabad to Vanaparthi.
Media reports state that actor Chandrakanth, driver Srikanth, and Pavithra’s cousin Apeksha were also in the car and sustained serious injuries.
