Arvind Kejriwal said that jail bars and hanging nooses could not deter Bhagat Singh’s lofty intentions. This is the second fight for freedom.
New Delhi: Amid Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday summoned Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for questioning in Delhi Excise Policy, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the leader may be arrested by the probe agency. Senior AAP leader and party spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj, in a press conference, said that Sisodia will be arrested tomorrow. He added that CBI’s summon is linked to the Gujarat elections. The elections, which are scheduled this year, are likely to show a direct fight between BJP and AAP. Bhardwaj alleged that BJP is scared of AAP as they are losing the state this time.
Earlier, Manish Sisodia informed, “CBI raid was conducted at my house for 14 hours, and nothing came out. Searched my bank locker, nothing came out in it. They did not find anything in my village. Now they have called me to CBI Headquarters at 11 am tomorrow. I will go and give my full cooperation. Satyameva Jayate.”
Reacting to Sisodia’s tweet, AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “Jail bars and hanging noose could not deter Bhagat Singh’s lofty intentions. This is the second fight for freedom. Manish and Satyendra are today’s Bhagat Singh. After 75 years, the country got an education minister who gave good education to the poor and gave hope for a bright future. Prayers of crores of poor are with you.”
AAP leader Atishi said, “Why arrest Manish Sisodia after no evidence of corruption? Because this is not a matter of exercise. There are elections in Gujarat, and the BJP’s graph falls from Manish ji’s rally. I warn BJP, if arrested then AAP’s graph will increase faster.”
She said that Tomorrow Manish Sisodia will be arrested if he goes to CBI Headquarters. “Till today the CBI has not been able to tell what was found from Manish ji? CBI-ED has engaged 400-500 officers to investigate the fake scam but they have not found even corruption of Rs 1,” Atishi added.
