Sisodia, while addressing the media, said that cases against him are part of ‘Operation Lotus’ as he is being asked to leave the Aam Aadmi Party and join the BJP.
New Delhi: Amid huge uproar by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against the summoning of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia by Central Investigation Agency (CBI) in connection with liquor policy case, the investigation agency on Monday questioned Sisodia for almost nine hours at its headquarters. Deputy CM, after leaving the CBI office, said that he is being framed for political vendetta as all cases against him are fake.
Sisodia, while addressing the media, said that cases against him are part of ‘Operation Lotus’ as he is being asked to leave the Aam Aadmi Party and join the BJP. He said that despite the pressure of the investigation agency, he will not leave AAP and will not join BJP. “It is a conspiracy against me to make their operation ‘successes. I was offered a CM post in Delhi but I will not succumb under any such pressure. I am happy to work for Delhi people,” he said.
Earlier in the morning, Sisodia had tweeted, “They are preparing to arrest me by making a completely fake case against me. I was to go to Gujarat for an election campaign in the coming days. These people are losing Gujarat badly. Their purpose is to stop me from going to Gujarat election campaign. When I went to Gujarat, I told the people of Gujarat that we will build wonderful schools like Delhi for your children in Gujarat too. People are very happy. But these people do not want good schools to be built in Gujarat also, people of Gujarat should also study and progress.”
He had further said, “But my going to jail will not stop the Gujarat election campaign. Today every Gujarati has stood up. The child child of Gujarat is now campaigning for good schools, hospitals, jobs, electricity. The coming elections in Gujarat will be a movement. A completely false case has been made against me. Red key at my house, found nothing, looked at all my bank lockers, found nothing, went to my village and checked everything, found nothing. This case is completely fake.”
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had, in a tweet, said, “Nothing was found in Manish’s house raid, nothing was found in the bank locker. The case against them is completely false. He had to go to Gujarat for an election campaign. He is being stopped to go to Gujarat but the election campaign will not stop. Every person in Gujarat is promoting “AAP” today.”
