On Thursday, two terrorists were gunned down while four army persons also lost their lives in an exchange of fire near an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri.

Anantnag: A day after killing of two terrorists and martyrdom of four soldiers during exchange of fire in Rajouri district, a policeman was injured in a terrorist attack Bijbehara area of Anantnag. The cop suffered bullet injuries when a team of security personnel were attacked by the terrorists.
According to the police, security has been tightened by cordoning off the area and a massive search operation has been launched to neatralise the terrorists. The policeman who was injured during the attack has been sent to the hospital for further treatment. The police who suffered bullets is Special Police officer Ghulam Qadir. He was on duty when attack was made by the terrorists.

The terrorists reportedly associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba had made attempt to barge into army camp at Pargal in Rajouri by crossing the fence but their movement was detected by the army persons. Two terrorists were shot dead during exchange of fire while three soldiers also lost their lives.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mukesh Singh had said that terrorists tried to sneak into a post in the dark at Pargal in Rajouri were detected. They were engaged by alert troops. The terrorists have been neutralised.

The Indian soldiers who were martyred during the incident were identified as Subedar Rajendra Prasad, Rifleman Manoj Kumar, Rifleman Lakshmanan D and Rifleman Nishant Malik. Malik succumbed at hospital where he was taken after facing bullets. They suffered bullet injuries at their bodies and succumbed to their injuries while stopping the terrorists from entering the camp.
