Actor and television personality Shefali Jariwala was cremated in Mumbai on Saturday, a day after her untimely death from a suspected cardiac arrest. The 42-year-old was reportedly found unconscious at her Andheri residence on Friday and was rushed to the hospital, where she was declared dead.
Her last rites were performed at Oshiwara Crematorium, where close family members, including her husband Parag Tyagi, and several television industry colleagues gathered to pay their respects. In an emotional moment, Parag was seen breaking down during the funeral rituals.
Celebrities and Family Bid Emotional Goodbye
Shefali’s mother was seen in deep grief as the final rites were conducted. Her body was kept at her Andheri home earlier in the day for friends and fans to offer a final farewell. Among those present were well-known TV actors such as Aarti Singh, Mahira Sharma, and Rashami Desai, who were seen consoling the bereaved family.

The news of her sudden death has left the entertainment industry shocked. Known to many as the “Kaanta Laga girl,” Shefali rose to fame with her breakout performance in the 2002 music video. She later appeared in several shows including Bigg Boss 13, Nach Baliye, and Boogie Woogie, and acted in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
Shefali Jariwala is survived by her husband Parag Tyagi, who stood by her through her rise in the entertainment industry. Her unexpected death at such a young age has left fans heartbroken across the country.
