The conflict between Iran and Israel continued to escalate on Tuesday, with Iranian strikes reportedly hitting key intelligence and military sites deep inside Israeli territory. Several reports claimed that strategic buildings, including the Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv and Israel’s military intelligence complex known as AMAN in Glilot, were targeted by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, “This morning, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s aerospace forces carried out a strike on the center of military intelligence of the Zionist regime’s army, Aman, and the Zionist regime’s center for planning terrorist operations, Mossad, in Tel Aviv, despite Israel’s advanced defense systems, and this center is now on fire.”
Unverified visuals circulating on social media showed buildings reportedly engulfed in flames, although no independent confirmation of the footage has been made.
Israel Responds; Death Toll Rises on Both Sides
The Israeli military, however, offered a different account of events. According to a statement reported by Tehran Times, the strikes only hit a bus parking lot. Simultaneously, Israel confirmed it had carried out airstrikes on specific sites in western Iran.

Since Israel launched Operation Rising Lion on June 13, the two adversaries have exchanged continuous strikes. Iran’s recent missile and drone attacks since Friday have killed over a dozen people in Israel, while Iranian health officials report at least 224 deaths and over 1,200 injuries due to Israeli airstrikes.
Residential neighbourhoods in both nations have been hit, intensifying global concern over mounting civilian casualties. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran of deliberately targeting civilian areas. Israel, in contrast, maintains that its operations have been focused on military installations, nuclear facilities, and high-value targets, including top military commanders and nuclear scientists.

A senior US official revealed that President Donald Trump intervened to prevent Israel from going ahead with a planned strike on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, urging restraint while simultaneously pushing both nations toward diplomacy. Trump commented, “Sometimes they have to fight it out,” while also emphasizing the need to eventually “make a deal.”
The current wave of hostilities marks a dramatic public escalation of decades-long animosity between Iran and Israel—one that has largely played out in the shadows through covert operations and proxy conflicts.
