New Delhi: Assets of 284 re-contesting MLAs out of the 301 of Uttar Pradesh have increased manifold ranging from zero percent to a whopping 22,057 percent, revealed a data compiled by the Association of
Democratic Research (ADR). Interestingly, assets of 17 MLAs/MLCs (6 percent) have decreased between 1 percent and 36 percent, the data further showed.
The average assets of these 301 re-contesting MLAs/MLCs, fielded by various parties, including Independents in 2017, was Rs 5.68 crore. The average asset of these 301 re-contesting MLAs/MLCs in 2022 is Rs 8.87 crore.

Similarly, average asset growth of these 301 re-contesting MLAs/MLCs, between the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections of 2017 and 2022 is a whopping Rs 3.18 crore. The average percentage growth in assets of these 301 re-contesting MLAs/MLCs is 56 percent.
Shah Alam (Guddu Jamali) of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen from the Mubarakpur constituency has declared a maximum increase with a jump of Rs 77.09 crore from Rs 118.76 crores in 2017 to Rs 195.85 crore in 2022. Assets of Sahender Singh Ramala of BJP of the Chhaprauli constituency have increased by Rs 46.45 crore from Rs 38.04 crore in 2017 to Rs 84.5 crore in 2022. Assets of Praveen Patel of BJP from Phulpur constituency have risen by Rs 31.99 crore from Rs 8.26 crore in 2017 to Rs 40.26 crore in 2022.
