The state chief minister said that he has information that that there may be a suspected ‘foreign hand’ the situation. He said that there is a conspiracy behind the cloudbursts in some parts of the country, including the Godavari river basin.

Hyderabad: Amid reports of heavy rain and cloudburst in various parts of Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) on Sunday said that there is a foreign hand behind this. The Chief Minister, after visiting the rain affected areas, convened a high level meeting in which he suspected a conspiracy behind heavy downpour in the state.
The state chief minister said that he has information that that there may be a suspected ‘foreign hand’ the situation. He said that there is a conspiracy behind the cloudbursts in some parts of the country, including the Godavari river basin.
“Cloudburst is new thing which is being witnessed these days. Foreign hands with enmity are doing cloudburst in our country. Earlier it has happened in Kashmir, at Leh Ladakh, then in Uttarakhand and now we are getting reports that they are doing it in the Godavari region,” KCR said while participating in a meeting at Badrachalam.
He added that whatever it is, due to the changes in weather conditions country needs to safeguard the people in such circumstances.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s statement drew flack as BJP IT cell head, in a tweet, said, “Foreign conspiracy behind cloud burst in Godavari region says eminent scientist K Chandrashekhar Rao… Mamata Banerjee has tough competition. These are the kind of excuses one makes when you don’t have a crop insurance scheme and don’t implement PM Fasal Bima Yojana either…
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also announced an assistance of Rs 1000 crore for the flood affected regions. He also promised financial support of Rs 10000 to each affected family and free twenty kg rice for two months.
