AAP leader Sanjay Singh also demanded to initiate legal proceedings against VK Saxena for allegedly awarding the contract.
New Delhi: Amid allegations and counter allegations of corruption between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena, the former on Friday demanded sacking of the latter. AAP national spokesperson, in a press conference, said that the LG should be ‘immediately’ dismissed from his post for illegally awarding a contract to his daughter Shivangi Saxena. He also demanded to initiate legal proceedings against VK Saxena for allegedly awarding the contract.
“We welcome the inquiry against Manish Sisodia. You didn’t get anything. But BJP has not done any case against LG till now. Why should LG VK Saxena shouldn’t be investigated?” the AAP Rajya Sabha MP said.
“First VK Saxena whitened the black money as the KVIC chairman and then gave the contract to the daughter. Now PM Modi does not have the right to say a single word on familyism. If they are against familyism, then sack the LG. AAP will decide to move the court after consulting senior lawyers.” He said.
Sanjay Singh also said, “I ask PM Modi that the people of Delhi What did you do wrong? Couldn’t find any good honest person for LG post? Why was Delhi given a tainted LG? He has to be fired, he has to resign.”
“The then KVIC Chairman Vinai Saxena misused Khadi’s Act and gave the responsibility of designing Khadi Lounge to his daughter Shivangi Saxena. Whose name is also written on the opening stone plaque,” the AAP leader added.
Reacting over the allegations, Raj Niwas Delhi tweeted, “The @kvicindia has issued a letter categorically stating that the entire cost of execution of project of its Mumbai Lounge was Rs 27.3 lakh, contrary to fake figures being touted by leaders of a Political Party.”
