BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi taunted Nitish Kumar over his party’s MLAs switching sides. He also said that JDU will soon collapse even in Bihar.

New Delhi: A day after the report of five of six JD (U) MLAs joined ruling BJP in Manipur, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that picture will be different in 2024 Lok Sabha elections if opposition parties unite. The Bihar Chief Minister was talking to media persons over his party MLAs joining BJP in the north eastern state.
After five of the six JDU MLAs joined the ruling BJP in Manipur, leaders of Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU) and the BJP are in war of words against each other.
BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi taunted Nitish Kumar over his party’s MLAs switching sides. He also said that JDU will soon collapse even in Bihar. In a tweet in Hindi, he said, “After Arunachal, Manipur is also JDU free. Very soon Laluji will make Bihar also JDU free.”
JDU national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh asked Modi not to ‘daydream; and also said that the BJP would be wiped out in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He also accused the BJP of not adhering to the coalition “dharma” in Arunachal Pradesh, where all seven of its MLAs have now merged with the ruling party and pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to hold 42 rallies to win 53 seats in Manipur in 2015.
“Want to remind you that both in Arunachal and Manipur, JD(U) won seats by defeating @BJP4India. So don’t daydream of liberation from JD(U). Was what happened in Arunachal Pradesh because of your adherence to the alliance commitment?” Singh tweeted in Hindi.
In a separate tweet, Singh said, “…and once again in Manipur @BJP4India’s moral conduct is in front of everyone. You must remember that in 2015, the Prime Minister held 42 meetings, only then 53 seats could be won. In 2024, the country will be free from jumlebaajs….just wait.”
