Kerala confirmed second case of Mpox in India on Wednesday. State Health Minister Veena George announced that a 38-year-old man from Malappuram tested positive after returning from the United Arab Emirates.
In a post on Facebook, Minister George urged the public to remain vigilant and to seek treatment if they exhibit any known symptoms of Mpox. She also emphasized the importance of informing the Health Department promptly for timely intervention and containment of the disease.

The Mpox or monkeypox, patient has been isolated and is receiving treatment in line with established medical protocols to prevent the virus’s spread. This marks the second confirmed case of Mpox in India, underscoring the need for public awareness and adherence to health guidelines, particularly for individuals with recent travel history to affected regions.
