The Chhattisgarh government’s ‘Aatmasamarpan Evam Punarvas Niti 2025’ and ‘Niyad Nella Nar Yojana’ have sparked a transformative movement across the Bastar region. These initiatives have instilled faith among youth once influenced by Maoist ideology, encouraging them to abandon violence and join the mainstream of development.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced that under the “Poona Margvem – Punarvas Se Punarjeevan” (Rehabilitation to Rebirth) campaign in Bijapur district, a total of 51 Maoists carrying a cumulative bounty of ₹66 lakh have surrendered to the security forces.
Expressing faith in the Constitution, the surrendered Maoists pledged to lead a dignified life within the democratic framework. The Chief Minister described this as a powerful symbol of the region’s transition from an era of fear and violence to one of peace, trust, and progress.
Dialogue and Rehabilitation at the Core of Policy Success
Chief Minister Sai said that the state government’s humane and sensitive approach underpins this transformation. “Bastar is emerging from the shadows of violence into a new age of development and hope. The government firmly believes that dialogue is the only sustainable solution to this long-standing issue,” he said.

He added that the government’s rehabilitation-oriented policies have been instrumental in restoring confidence among local communities and providing new opportunities for those seeking to reintegrate into society.
Chief Minister Sai credited the progress to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that India is steadily advancing towards the goal of becoming a Naxal-free nation.
“The Chhattisgarh government remains dedicated and compassionate in this mission,” Sai affirmed, urging the people of the state to participate in this transformative journey so that every village in Chhattisgarh becomes a symbol of peace, harmony, and progress.
