New Delhi: Amid war of word over denial of tickets to 4 sitting MPs in Delhi in upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s state unit has said that the city comes under cosmopolitan category where people from all parts of the country live and work and its political atmosphere makes a strong impact on other states too. The saffrom party said that in 2014 and 2019 elections, Delhiites took a lead to give 7 out of 7 seats to BJP which was followed by voters of most major states and led to PM Narendra Modi forming strong government twice.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that today again the party finds find that Delhiites have made up their minds to complete a hat trick of Governments by PM Modi. “Delhiites from a street vendor to mall owners and from a peon to chief executives seem to have made up their minds to vote for a stronger India under PM Modi,” he said.
Sachdeva has said that BJP yesterday announced 5 of its candidates with two of them women and our feedback tells that people of Delhi have widely welcomed them as they are all well placed in their fields of work apart from being strong political workers.
Delhi BJP President has said that people of Delhi like other countrymen are looking forward to speedier development and are aware that the infrastructural development and job opportunities seen by Delhi during last decade are all a result of central government’s contribution. Hence Delhi BJP’s campaign for ensuing Lok Sabha elections will be focused on development issues.
The Delhi Unit Chief has said that we challenge our opposition for debate on central government’s contribution for Delhi’s development and on AAP-led city government’s failure to take up development projects.
