Making a scathing attack on the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government, BJP leader Kapil Mishra said that if a helicopter could be sent for Nadeem Ansari, why not for Ankita.
Ranchi: A couple of days after the Dumka girl was burnt alive by Shahrukh Hussain, a BJP delegation comprising Nishikant Dubey, Manoj Tiwari and Kapil Mishra on Wednesday met with the deceased’s family members at their native place. The BJP leaders reached the native place of the girl from Delhi where they met with her father, sister and other family members. The delegation announced financial assistance of Rs 28 lakh collected through crowd funding to the family and assured to take care of them.
“Took information about the incident from Dumka’s daughter Ankita’s father, grandparents, sister, brother and family members. The intention of saving the criminals of the Soren family will not succeed. The public anger of Dumka against the police officer Noor Mustafa will make the Soren family out of Jharkhand like the Rajapaksa of Lanka,” said Nishikant Dubey who is MP from Jharkhand’s Godda.

What is the connection of Shahrukh’s brother with Bangladeshi radical Islamic organizations? Need to be investigated from the angle of love jihad.”
“The Hemant Soren government in the state failed to save the girl. It is their responsibility to stand with the family. Neither the CM nor his brother who is MLA of this area have visited the bereaved family. It is the responsibility of the CM and his MLA brother to stand with the family at this moment. Everybody is with the family except the Jharkhand government,” Mishra said after visiting the victim’s family in Dumka.
The 16-year-old girl was killed by Shahrukh Hussain by putting petrol during the wee hours when she was sleeping in her bedroom.
The school girl had informed her parents about harassment faced by Shahrukh in the past. On the fateful night, she had discussed the issue with her father and had gone to sleep. After a few hours of sleep, she realised pain in her body and woke up. She realised that her body had been set on fire by Shahrukh.
After facing severe burn injuries, she was taken to the nearby hospital in the city and later to a Ranchi hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The accused was identified with the help of CCTV footage and was arrested by the local police.
The girl, in her statement before she succumbed to her burn injuries, had said that she told her father about the harassment and her father had assured to talk to the stalker Shahrukh’s family. “On Tuesday night, after having our dinner, we went to sleep. I was sleeping in another room. On Tuesday morning, I experienced a sensation of pain on my back and could smell something burning. I found him running away when I opened my eyes. I started screaming in pain and went to my father’s room. My parents doused the fire and took me to the hospital,” she had said in her last statement. The girl, in her statement, had also named another accused Chhotu Khan who was reportedly arrested by the police.
