PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana has become a true friend of poor and middle class families as they are now able to get generic medicines at lesser prices and these medicines are even proving to be quite useful to people.

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said the Jan Aushadhi Yojana is contributing greatly in ensuring health care needs of women. The scheme has come like a silent revolution for the country. Mandaviya said many a youngsters have also got employment through this scheme.
Through this scheme anyone who has a certificate to open a medical store; by just filling up a single page form he can start the Jan Aushadhi Kendra as its process is quite simple. It is ensuring quality medicines at reasonably cheap price to people, he added.
He said the PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana has become a true friend of poor and middle class families as they are now able to get generic medicines at lesser prices and these medicines are even proving to be quite useful to people. The way Prime Minister describes about Jan Aushadhi either through his ‘Mann ki Baat’ or address from the Red Fort or in Parliament, the people get encouraged to buy medicines from these centers and get benefitted, he added.
Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta said the Union Government has so far opened over 8664 Jan Aushadhi centres through which people are getting over 1400 quality medicines at reasonable prices which has helped the poor and needy save over Rs 13000 crore.
Gupta said when people fall sick they feel helpless to buy medicines or go for treatment due to high cost of treatment or medicines. But the PM has made it easier for such people to get benefit of Jan Aushadhi Yojana and Ayushman Yojana.
