Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over Odisha on 13th with extremely heavy falls on August 14, the weathermen said.

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Friday predicted rainfall and thunderstorm in West Madhya Pradesh on August 12, 14-16; Chhattisgarh during August 12th-15th, Vidarbha during August 14th-16th; Gujarat Region on August 15th and 16th, Saurashtra and Kutch on August 16th; Konkan and Goa during August 12th-15th and over East Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra during August 12th-16th.
In a statement, the IMD said, “Isolated very heavy rainfall likely over ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra on (August) 12th; East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on (August) 14th and over West Madhya Pradesh on (August) 15th and 16th August. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall also likely over East Madhya Pradesh on August 15, 2022.”
The statement added “Fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam and Meghalaya on 13th & 14th; Gangetic West Bengal on 14th; Odisha during 12th-15th and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura during 12th-14th.”
Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over Odisha on 13th with extremely heavy falls on August 14, the weathermen said.
“Scattered/fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Karnataka and ghat areas of Tamil Nadu on 12th; Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on 13th & 14th and over Telangana on August 14th,” IMD added.
It further said, “Scattered/fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Punjab and Uttar Pradesh on 14th; West Rajasthan on 12th, 13th and 15th; East Rajasthan 12th, 13th, 15th and 16th and over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana on August 14th and 15th.”
“Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over West Rajasthan on 15th and over East Rajasthan on 15th and 16th,” the statement added.
