Multiple gunshots were reportedly fired at a campaign office for U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris in Arizona, according to local police. The damage, attributed to several bullets, was discovered early Monday morning at the Democratic campaign office located near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive in Tempe. Authorities believe the incident occurred shortly after midnight.
Public Information Officer Ryan Cook expressed concerns regarding the safety of staff and local residents, stating, “No one was inside the office during the overnight hours, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work in that building, as well as those nearby.”
The Tempe Police Department is treating the incident as a potential property crime. Local news footage captured two bullet holes in the office door and two more in its windows. Investigators are currently examining evidence collected from the scene, while enhanced security measures have been implemented to protect staff and nearby individuals.
This incident marks the second time in just over a week that criminal activity has occurred at the same location. Earlier, the front windows were reportedly damaged by what appeared to be a BB or pellet gun just after midnight on September 16. As of now, no arrests have been made in either incident, and authorities are exploring all possible angles and motives.

Sean McEnerney, the Arizona Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign manager, expressed gratitude to the Tempe Police for their prompt response. “We are grateful to Tempe Police for coming quickly to the scene and are fortunate no one was present or injured,” he stated.
The shootings at the campaign office come just days before Vice President Harris is scheduled to visit Arizona, a critical battleground state ahead of the November 5 presidential election. Reports indicate that she plans to campaign across the Grand Canyon State during her visit, including a trip to the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday, aiming to address immigration issues that have given Republican candidate Donald Trump an advantage among voters.
This incident follows a recent alarming event involving a second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course on September 15. During that event, a Secret Service agent intervened upon spotting a rifle’s muzzle, preventing potential harm. The suspect, identified as Ryan Routh, fled the scene but was arrested shortly thereafter.
