Globally, the heaviest spleen surgically removed from a female patient so far weighed around 2.5 kg. Dr. Anwar’s surgery surpasses this benchmark by a wide margin. This complex operation is now being submitted for inclusion in both the Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records, putting Jharkhand on the global medical map.

Expressing immense pride, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari said the achievement is not just that of one doctor, but of the entire health administration and the evolving medical ecosystem in Jharkhand.
